Depart for Mikumi National Park, a 6-hour drive from Dar es Salaam. Known for its Serengeti-like plains and accessibility, Mikumi is home to the Big Five, with a higher chance of spotting tree-climbing lions. 

Expect to see elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, and hippos in the resident hippo pool. Enjoy morning and evening game drives to maximize wildlife sightings.

Travel to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest park, renowned for its vast elephant population and over 570 bird species. Game drives through its untouched ecosystems offer chances to spot lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, elands, sable antelopes, jackals, and the rare African wild dog.

Journey to Nyerere National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Africa’s largest national park. Explore its diverse landscapes, from jungles to savannahs, and spot elephants, hippos, crocodiles, lions, leopards, and the endangered African wild dog. 

Day 7 features a full-day boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you’ll see giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, kudus, warthogs, and abundant birdlife, with a picnic lunch by the lakeside.

Accommodation: Selous River Camp

On Day 8, enjoy a final morning game drive in Nyerere before going back to Dar es Salaam. Spend the night at your hotel, reflecting on your adventure. 

On Day 9, transfer to Julius Nyerere International Airport for your flight home.
